The WTPC began its first Board Meeting on Monday.
So what might all this mean?
Probably nothing, but who knows, this could also be the first step in the process of changing the 2-party political dynamic in this country. Potentially, the WTPC could reinvigorate 3rd party politics in this country. So its all or nothing.

just reregistered with the flannery for ohio petition.
i just saw someting on cspan about education myths, and it got my educational juices flowing...
i have always believe that our current school funding scheme relies too heavily on local funds to finance the local school interests. consequently, there are "have" and "have-not" school districts.
i believe that the basic costs of school operation should be collected and evenly distributes on the state level, so that each school district will have sufficient funds for the basic operations. hopefully buildings will be properly funded and equipped, with functional roofs, climate control, chalk boards and desks, even working photo copiers and school buses.
local money should be raised to fund "luxary" programs and needs like sports programs, band, new computer labs, extra teachers, etc.

i believe that independents and 3rd party candidates will need to unite in order to have any influence in politics.
with that in mind, i am a member of the WTPC yahoo group. assuming things go well for awhile, the 3rd party may officially become a member of the WTPC. in that case, this state chapter will quickly follow suit.
This is a recent post of mine from 3rdparty.org.
“As a political party, we hope to offer the people another choice, but we will continue to fail and be marginalized until the people start demanding more choice. Every 4 years without political reform is another 4 years of waste and corruption, another 4 years of bad policy and partisanship, another 4 years of attacking the messenger instead of the discussing the message.
Apparently, the charade that is the American media’s political coverage works because too few people are outraged by the ineptitude of our Washington representatives. The only things that our governmental system can reliably produce are partisanship and apathy. Everything else is either a joke or a tragedy.
Labels are bad not only because they are superficial, but also because they create an arbitrary distinction where one doesn’t and shouldn’t exist. Democrat vs. Republican is just a way of mischaracterizing and dividing the population. The reality is that we have American vs. American and the disagreement is more about group identity then it is about politics. Good people oppose good policies for bad reasons, reasons regarding group identity and power instead of value. Group distinctions are meaningless and artificial. For example, you couldn’t spot a democrat from a republican or an independent just from looking at them.
The bottom line is that we are all citizens of this great nation, and we have too much in common and too much common interest to allow ourselves to get caught up in nonsensical labels and group allegiances. We need to step back, and take an honest look at ourselves. When we do, then we will be able to see how ugly our politics has gotten. The tactics of today’s politicians include; spin, deflection, pandering, fear mongering, and character assassination instead of honest and logical discussion about ideology.”
Now I would like to expand on the idea of labeling.
Labels divide and create distinctions where none exist. They are harmful because they divide a people who should be pursuing their common interests. WE ARE ALL AMERICANS FIRST AND ONLY. I am not a democrat or a republican, not conservative or liberal. I am a citizen of the United States of America and of the world. WE ARE ALL INDEPENDENTS. And we need to remember what liberty and democracy are really all about.
The We The People Coalition is a collection of Independents who recognize how our government has been tampered with by partisans, setup to divide us by misguided people who fail to recognize the long-term dangers of their divisive actions.
Do not be taken in by the partisanship and the labeling.
Labels are what are wrong with this country. Political analysis in this country is superficial. Good policy only results from in-depth analysis, not from the 30-second sound bite media. Do yourself a favor, don’t watch the news, read it, and read it from several different sources.
